Sondi Dawnne Edwards Greene

The Cause

Sondi Greene loved her faithful companion American bulldog Pyrat Rum and was a supporter of rescue dogs and the Tillamook Animal Shelter.
Although she died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in 2013, her spirit lives on in the form of A Cause for Paws Tillamook “Mutt Strutt”, a benefit for Tillamook Animal Shelter and the Tillamook County Animal Aid. Organized by her family, the memorial event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1p.m. on Saturday, July 13th 2019 at Goodspeed Park, in Tillamook.
The main event will be the Celebration Walk, in which family, friends and rescue animal supporters, along with their dogs, will walk from Goodspeed Park up to the Tillamook Saturday Market and back – approximately 14 city blocks – to raise awareness of shelter dogs in Tillamook County and funding for TAS and TCAA.
The first 100 registrants, for $20.00, receive a Swag Bag filled with an official Pyrat logo T-shirt, many cool items donated by our awesome contributors and a Pyrat logo cup with a coupon for one free fill-up from the Bennett Family Farm milk booth. CLICK HERE to reserve your Swag Bag!
Other events and features at the event will include local vendors selling pet-related products, food and beverages from local food carts, music by DJ Nate Rolston, a “doggie kissing booth,” Smile photo booth, pet nail-trimming, dog-wash station, “Pyrat’s Plunder silent auction, wine pull, Tillamook Ice Cream, Bennett Family Farm milk and more. Children who attend can use the park playground equipment as well as enjoy two bouncy houses, balloon animals, face-painting and an opportunity to have their photo taken with Pyrat!
